Personal SWOB Assessment
This workshop provides a structured approach for participants to evaluate their personal growth using the SWOB framework: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Barriers. Participants will identify key areas for their development and create an actionable plan for improvement.
How to run it
- 1
Have participants conduct a personal SWOB analysis, focusing on their key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and barriers.
- 2
Allow around 20 minutes for individual reflection and encourage them to write as much detail as possible.
- 3
Prompt participants to consider their development areas by asking, 'What do I want to focus on?'
- 4
If relevant, ask them to reflect on their motivations for attending the course and what they hope to achieve.
- 5
Participants should identify 3-5 specific development areas.
- 6
Encourage them to rate their current status on a scale of 1 to 10 for these areas.
- 7
Additionally, have them set target ratings for 1, 3, and 6 months from now.
- 8
Guide them to list actionable steps they can take to leverage opportunities for their development.
Tips
Encourage honesty and openness during the SWOB analysis to foster genuine self-reflection.
