Run a quarterly OKR session that actually sticks — with the right structure and the right methods.
Plan your OKR workshopEffective OKR sessions move through five stages — from strategic context to concrete, committed key results.
Phase 1
Opening (9:00–10:00)
Align on why OKRs matter and where the organization stands. Review the mission, review last quarter, and set the intention for today.
Phase 2
Morning (10:00–12:00)
Craft ambitious, qualitative objectives that inspire and focus energy. Push for boldness — objectives should stretch the team.
Phase 3
Afternoon (13:00–15:00)
For each objective, define 2–4 measurable key results. Good KRs are specific, time-bound, and verifiable.
Phase 4
Late Afternoon (15:00–16:30)
Check for conflicts, dependencies, and gaps. Make sure OKRs cascade correctly and everyone can see how their work connects.
Phase 5
Closing (16:30–17:00)
Lock in commitments, assign owners, and establish the check-in cadence. Leave with a shared document and clear next steps.
