How to run it

  1. 1

Ask each participant to choose a role model who inspires them, considering various types of leaders.

  2. 2

Have participants write either the name of their role model or a brief description if the name is not widely recognized.

  3. 3

Instruct participants to take on the persona of their role model, writing an important piece of leadership advice they'd give to a young person.

  4. 4

Facilitate a rapid exchange of advice cards among participants until they each have a different card.

  5. 5

Once the exchanges are complete, gather attention and ask participants to read out the advice they received.

Tips

  • Encourage participants to think deeply about why their chosen role model inspires them.

  • Remind everyone to keep advice concise and focused on leadership principles.

  • Create a comfortable environment for sharing to foster open dialogue.
