Prepare a set of quotes on separate sheets of paper, making sure to have enough for all participants plus 25% extra.

Place the quotes face down in a pile in the center of the room.

Invite each participant to pick a quote and then find a partner.

Participants discuss their quotes, focusing on what they mean to them, for about one minute.

Signal the end of the discussion, prompting participants to switch partners and, if they wish, switch quotes.

Continue this process for approximately 15 minutes.
