Think-Pair-Share
A structured discussion technique from educational practice. Participants first think individually about a question (Think), then discuss with a partner (Pair), then share insights with the larger group (Share). It ensures all voices are heard, helps introverts contribute, and surfaces ideas before premature group convergence.
Come eseguirlo
- 1
Pose a clear question or prompt to the group.
- 2
Think (2–3 min): participants reflect individually and write down their thoughts.
- 3
Pair (3–5 min): participants turn to a partner and discuss their ideas.
- 4
Share: pairs report back to the full group. Ask 2–4 pairs to share key insights.
- 5
Synthesise the shared ideas on a board and continue the session.
Suggerimenti
The Think phase is the most often skipped — don't rush it.
Individual reflection before discussion dramatically improves the quality and diversity of ideas.
For remote teams, use breakout rooms for the Pair phase.
Variazioni
Extend to Think-Pair-Square-Share: pairs join into groups of four before full group share. Run Think-Pair-Share as a mid-session energiser between content blocks.
