OKR Workshop
A structured workshop for setting Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) — a goal-setting framework popularised by Intel and Google. An Objective is qualitative, inspiring, and directional ('Become the go-to tool for enterprise facilitators'). Key Results are measurable, time-bound outcomes that signal whether the objective is being achieved ('Acquire 50 enterprise trials by end of Q3'). OKR workshops align teams around shared ambitious goals.
Come eseguirlo
- 1
Review the organisational or team context: what's the strategic direction for the quarter/year?
- 2
Brainstorm potential Objectives: what do we most want to achieve? Use sticky notes, one idea each.
- 3
Filter: keep 3–5 Objectives that are inspiring, achievable, and directional.
- 4
For each Objective, brainstorm Key Results: how would we know if we achieved it? Aim for 2–4 KRs per Objective.
- 5
Quality-check KRs: are they measurable? Do they reflect outcome (not output)? Are they ambitious (roughly 70% achievable counts as success)?
- 6
Assign owners and review cadence.
- 7
Socialise OKRs across the organisation for alignment and feedback.
Suggerimenti
Key Results should measure outcomes, not activities.
'Write 10 blog posts' is an output.
'Increase organic traffic by 40%' is an outcome.
If you can achieve a Key Result without achieving the Objective, it's the wrong Key Result.',
Variazioni
Run monthly OKR check-in rituals (15 minutes, confidence score per KR). Combine with Impact Mapping to ensure OKRs are connected to business outcomes.
