Stress Balls
This energizer emphasizes the value of communication, teamwork, and feedback through a simple and engaging activity. Participants will quickly learn to work together under pressure while passing a stress ball in a circle.
How to run it
- 1
Gather participants in a circle.
- 2
Explain that you will start by throwing a stress ball to the person on your left.
- 3
Instruct them to throw it to their left, continuing the pattern until it returns to you.
- 4
Start the ball circulating and observe the group's dynamics.
- 5
Once the ball returns, lead a brief discussion.
- 6
Ask questions like: 'How did we do?', 'What can we learn from this?', and 'Can we speed it up next time?'
Tips
Encourage all participants to take part in the throwing.
Adjust the pace of the ball based on how well the group is communicating.
Use this activity to highlight specific teamwork challenges.
Variations
You can use multiple balls or add a challenge, such as participants having to say their name before throwing.
