Strength Envelopes

This activity enables team members to recognize and share their individual strengths while enhancing team engagement. Participants will learn how to structure their contributions based on strengths highlighted by their peers.

How to run it

  1. 1

    Brief participants on the activity's purpose and two phases.

  2. 2

    Organize participants into small groups around tables.

  3. 3

    Provide each participant with an envelope and several blank sheets of paper.

  4. 4

    Explain the activity steps and encourage questions for clarity.

  5. 5

    Instruct participants to write their names on the envelope and pass it to the left.

  6. 6

    Set a timer for 3 minutes for participants to write strengths for the person on their left.

  7. 7

    When time is up, have participants fold the statements and place them in the envelope without sealing it.

  • Encourage participants to be specific and positive in their strength statements.

  • Monitor groups to ensure everyone is participating and clarify any confusion.

  • Allow time for participants to reflect on the feedback received after the activity.
