How to run it

  1. 1

Divide participants into small groups of three.

  2. 2

Assign roles: A's will share about a great restaurant or event with B's who will try not to listen.

  3. 3

C's will observe the interactions and note behaviors.

  4. 4

After 1-2 minutes, have the groups rotate roles: B's tell C's about a useful tool or behavior for work while C's ignore.

  5. 5

Lastly, C's share positive feedback about A's, who will again attempt to not listen.

  6. 6

Conclude with a brief debrief in trios, then share insights as a larger group.

  • Keep the energy high by encouraging enthusiasm in sharing.
