How to run it

  1. 1

Divide participants into small teams of 4 to 6 members with some experience working together.

  2. 2

Explain the feedback format: 'To _____: What I appreciate most about you is... What I would like to see more from you is... Signed, _____.'

  3. 3

Ask each participant to complete the above sentences for every other member in their group on separate post-it notes.

  4. 4

Once everyone has written their notes, have each participant share their feedback verbally, handing the post-it to the person after speaking.

Tips

  • Encourage honesty and kindness during the feedback process.

  • Set clear expectations about confidentiality to create a safe space.

  • Consider using lighter feedback prompts with newer groups to ease into the process.

Variations

Adapt the format by focusing on strengths and specific examples for a more targeted feedback approach.
