How to run it

  1. 1

Ask each team member to upload a meaningful photo to the online meeting or whiteboard prior to the meeting.

  2. 2

Encourage them to choose images that reveal something personal, such as a favorite location or significant experience.

  3. 3

Examples of photo ideas include a team photo, a memorable trip, or a cherished item.

  4. 4

Once everyone has uploaded their photos, invite each person to share the story behind their image.

  5. 5

For larger groups, consider selecting a few photos to discuss in-depth rather than going through every one.

  6. 6

After sharing, highlight the importance of recalling the shared stories to deepen understanding and team bonds.

Tips

  • Allow extra time for sharing if the group is particularly engaged.

  • Set clear guidelines to ensure that everyone feels comfortable sharing their photos.

  • Encourage follow-up questions to foster interaction and connection.

Variations

You can adjust the exercise by focusing on specific themes, such as childhood memories or travel experiences, to steer the conversation in a particular direction.
